Take your time while building the car. It's like bonding with it!
Soak the bearings, get tools to make your job easier.
Sand Paper wil also help to smothen out some parts as you take it off the parts tree.

Having a caliper is also useful.
Just a suggestion, buy RPM Bumper for it.
