Also yesterday running firmware 10.x Mode 8 (standard) I melted a Speedpassion 10.5 R running an FDR of 5.77 on a small outdoor track which last year I run

Motor: Novak SS 10.5
ESC: LRP Sphere TC 2007
FDR: 4.74

It seems to me the FDRs while slightly higher are not extreme so I dont know why I would have melted the motor?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Cheers

Paul
Not surprising you melted with those settings. You are overtimed, and the difference between FDR5.7 and say, 6.7 on a small track could be about 80 Euro. Lower your fixed timing setting to start with, and monitor temps. Look at post 1448, I hope this will save you money.
