I not new to RC, but am new to lipo. I am setting up my Tekin RX8, and want to set my voltage cutoff correctly for two 2s batteries that I am using to power my car. I am under the impression from what I have read, that using the stock 4s cutoff of 14.8 volts could actually be bad, and some people are setting it a little higher to protect batteries that are expensive. So, would setting the cutoff to 15 volts be too much and reduce my run times too much, or would 14.9 volts be more than enough? Or have I got this whole voltage cutoff thing all together wrong?
