I used lighter fluid at home--the tire sauce doesn't do it well--it's best used once they've been cleaned. So---what have you found?? Simple Green? Alcohol?? Thinner?? Kerosene?? I'm trying to find something that will work quick---and not damage the tires.

BTW--WHILE the tires are clean and with tire sauce---they work GREAT!!! I've been using EXP36s--I'm going to try EXP32's Sat morning.

Your best bet to clean tires will be motor spray, simple green will soften the rubber slightly as would any other traction compound. Rubbing alcohol wont soften the rubber either, but it tends to dry the rubber out.
