The 3 jap cars are basically the same, the real goodness is in the steering rack and the next cyclone is even going to the sideways servo like the 416. Out of the 3 the tamiya is the nicest looking which is why it's the best.
I'd say they all crash the same, xrays are always the most durable but anything will break if try hard enough

McPrez,
I tend to agree with ya...
the new Kyosho, Yokomo, TC5 and 416 looks really good.. however very close in design..
Seems there are new Yokomo parts which could provide a come back for Yokomo
AE seems to have given up
Kyosho are trying to make a come back but looks like another car (BD5)
The new Cyclone.. Ummm like the belts being able to swap sides..
Steering you pointed out is like 416, Yokomo a side on servo.
personaly this leave so much room the motor ESC just makes more sense.
Some team drivers aka hara and Andy Moore said back to back tests the new Cyclone is .5 second quicker.. must be the steering
Other may disagree..
p.s there is no motor & battery is missing this is because he was in the middle of a contract change between Orion and LRP
