Actually, as I used to work as an electronics technician, I know enough about the current ESC's to design and build one from scratch (though probably not as cheaply as I can buy off the shelf, so I will simply buy one).

As I am building a new car with all new parts, it will be a current ESC, most likely a Speed Passion GT to match the Speed Passion motor, powering a Sakura Zero.

What is so hard about giving advice along with qualifications? e.g. If you are using a current ESC, try an FDR around ... or if you are using an older ESC ...
If I accepted your advice, I'd never even make a start!
