I think it is pretty accurate. I am guessing it takes into account the different attributes of each motor and calculates based on that. I was running a Novak 13.5 before and geared it at 76/27, it felt great to me. This site says that 76/26 is .1% undergeared, so that seems to be pretty accurate info
