Being balanced is definitely worth it, else your car will act differently on left and right turns. Being balanced is worth being a couple grams overweight if that what it takes on your car.

As far as where your weight is; if by Lipo brace you mean the battery bar that holds the lipo down I would suggest you move the weight off of that and onto the chassis, also put it further away from the center. This will bring your center of gravity lower and being further out from center will help balance that side.

For the TC5 I recommend the PPD Billet Lipo plate to help out.
