Perhaps smaller, micro shocks or simple dampening tubes would work instead.
Also instead of the top of the shocks mounting to the upper deck, have them lay down instead, should work just as well.
Just a few observations.
I 'l keep it posted, but have to wait for better weather.
I have been looking for smaller ( but good ) shocks but didn't find them.
Upside down shocks is no good, more mass has to be damped.
The schocks are verry close to the rear it might fit a modern body,
the chassis is slightly longer for better scale precision.
