I still own my 1/1 VW Bug based bar buggy. Built mine
as a two seater though. Ahh! the good ole days. I was
ten years old in '69 and my dad let me spend a hundred
dollars of my savings on a beat up '66 VW Bug. I drove
laps around the yard for a couple days and on the third
day, when dad pulled in the yard. The body was off and
I was driving the pan frame around holding the steering
wheel and column up off my lap. Dad made me spend the
rest of my money at the local welding shop on getting
the chassis shortened and a rollcage bent up and welded
on. Damn, I think I'm going to have to put together
an 1/8 scale barbuggy project now.
