stretched rod?? what do you mean? The same exact thing was happening to me this weekend. My air filter came off on a bad landing, but did not realize it til it kept dying after i started it. Took the body off and the air filter was off and the carb was full of dirt took it out, cleaned and flushed the inside with fuel, put it back together and would not stay running. Would idle though. Oh well.

On a side note. Does anyone know for a fact that the jx crank is lighter then the vspec crank? Has anyone ever weighed them? seems like the vspec crank is lighter but i dont have a scale. Really i can't tell the difference. Also, i wish i know the case volumes for each engine. I am wondering if those are the same as well.
