With the RE hubs I have never used the black ballstuds. At the very least I would use an ae silver stud. With all my RE hubs I use lunsford titanium studs .250 length I believe, and blue loctite. To keep original stud heighth you must use 1 .030 washer under the stud. The washer will add strength too.
Sorry for my ignorance, but if I go with a lungsford ball studs are they all the same thread size and ball size? Or will I need new ball cups as well? Thanks
