Was the cog mainly when starting from a stopped position? Mine seemed to stutter sometimes at the start. It's not a huge deal but noticeable.
tim, i think he's talking about the drag off power (almost like brushed motors used to be). i ran the x12 (17.5) and if geared > ~6.5 it really had some off power drag (which can be good/bad depending on your preferences). the motor ran awesome all weekend, but seemed to get to 215* even when geared down. with that said, i too duplicated mike's 5.7 fdr and the car was a missile. i really like these motors so far...
