Its super friendly when you get the right battery.. It's the side belt design and low centered CG spec that is a design feature, and putting a PHAT 5000 in it would be a design compromise.
At the moment we are 90grams under with a 3800 in it. I hope they change the rules of EP and weight chassis without fuel supply like they do in Nitro. Then for those who want to have Excess power will pay the weight penalty not those who would rather have good power to weight and run efficiently.
We ran NiMH and were 180g over, no one seemed to care when were over over. One scrutineer rechecked the scales... We make the 5 minutes with the Orion 3800/4.5T and a standard ESC.
