No issues here with the bannana plugs, many of us use them, no chassis grinding either.
Just a little trimming of the battery hold down clip, and sensible wiring is all that's needed.

fmw made a bannana to deans harness which is a clean way to do it.
I did it another way.

Some tape on the underside of the top tray to keep things safe while sliding the lipo in and out is a good idea too.

With the battery clip there is no way the battery post can touch, and it keeps the battery from moving if the car should come to a sudden stop

This works well with Orion lipos 3200, 3400, 3800.
I suspect there may be issues with taller lipos that have no clearance between the upper tray and chassis.
