Btw, on the pictures of your car I saw you used a lot of lead glued to the chassis.
Until recently I did the same, but I found some Tungsten weights for Pinewood derby cars which fit our cars just great.

The 'underbody; weights can be screwed to the chassis and they are much thinner (able to lower the throttle servo ) as the lead weights, but twice as heavy.
Maybe you like them.
