be careful with the battery slots. You only have to remove a little so I wouldn´t use a dremel but a little file. Otherwise your batteries are sitting to low in the chassis.
Mark is right about these custom parts. Both are working extremly well. Maybe Tamiya will allow using the aluminium gear as they got a batch produced for them on special order. But I´m not sure about this but you could ask at the Tamiya support.
