No, there wasn't suppose to be a servo saver, the picture shows a sample of the saver you should use. On the R3, you need a servo saver that's not so tall so the linkage does not rub the center shaft.
The screw count should be correct, check and make sure you have the right size in the right places. If you're short, send me an email let me know which size and how many and I'll see if I have them to send it to you
