I agree that I dont think they add any performance difference, other than being able to fine tune the gear ratio.
They seem to mesh very nicely so perhaps they will be more reliable???

Yes, the mesh is good, but with probably less margin for error I reckon.
Anyway, with that engine you were running last Sunday, you wouldn't have had time to think about gear eficiency, would you?
