The motor keeps on accelerating. The Boost comes in between the 1000 and 10000 RPM. This is just the window were the Boost is added. This doesn't mean that the car is than on it's top speed.
By motor timing you set it for instance on 10. Than you have straight away 10 timing. Whit the Boost it's a bout the same but instead of adding it ad once it comes in slowly to make it possible for the motor to get some speed and doesn;t have to handle to much timing ad once.
This way you can set more timing on the motor than before.
