Unfortunately its not all about RPM, they would then just work out ways to increase the Torque delivered at those set RPM, and you could just gear up.
To me it sounds like a true stock class is required, a number of us suggested this for the CC 2010, but Trevor in his wisdom didnt even properly explore the idea. A budget low cost control speedie and motor, it works perfectly in Mini, should be no different in TC.
