I'd say yes, it's more than fair, if you can get to the pointy end of a premiere/popular class with 30+ drivers, all fighting for points, then you deserve all the points you can get.
Fair here though is subjective, 4 classes vs 2 classes, your saying it's fair for someone running with very low numbers in one of four classes, to get more points for their club, than guys running in their chosen class that will bring in less or none.
Points need to be spread across the number of racers, not the number of classes, that is I think the whole point here, dividing up points fairly among drivers, regardless of what they choose to drive.

Sub finals still could do with a good reason to race and place though, if your just suggesting only that 2 or 1 points for playing, well then where is the competitive motive to place 'within' those finals?.
Everyone at a Interclub, should have something to race for right untill the end, surely that is a fair enough ask?.
