I was the committee member that proposed the bonus system.

It was plain to see that a points system was going to be voted in on the night. It was already agreeded upon with 3 of the clubs.

I was comfronted with two options.
Go with a system that gave no advantage for making an A final
10th place in the A was just 1 point better than 1st in the B

Or the Bonus System which gave some recongion for the A finaist.

If we had time i'm certain a better fairer system would have come to us.

my thoughts since answer all concerns

Currently gas has 1/3rd of the points available each round
Why not give gas double points. ie 50% of points available.

Then Add 5 points for each A Finalist (10 for gas)
Give each b Finalist 2 points if they run
and 1 point for the others

everybody wins. everybody gets points for their club.
Gas gets equal chance at the points.

Each club must then get as many members to go as possible.
and no club meeting on an interclub day.


If i had time on the night things might be different.
