I am sure if you were to replace the internals later the factory parts would work fine. But if you replaced the sleeve it would not be modded anymore. Also I would recommend talking to Ed if you did replace a p/s to make sure the compression height would be the same. Sometimes when modding they alter the sleeve timing and you may need to add or remove shims when replacing a sleeve.
Personally I would try to spend the extra $ on a speed, pro mod or a Jx ninja, the coated cranks last alot longer.
