Point scoring has been changed.
There will be points for all finishing positions; not only for the A final. The system will work as follows: The points awarded in each class will be relative to the number of entries in the class. A class with 30 entries will have points allocated from 30 (A final winner) to 1 for the stone motherless in the C final. Each A finalists will have 5 points added to their points. For classes with less than 10 entries; drivers score points based on finishing positions and on a 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis with 5 points added to each A finalist. This will allow any driver that makes an effort to represent their club to contribute to the club’s result, and acknowledges that the competition could sometimes be a little stronger perhaps in a class with about 30 entries, than in one with only about 7 entries.
There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd A finals with concourse and best Junior.
Entry fees will be $ 30.00 for first class ($5.00 increase from last year) and $10.00 for second class, with under 16s paying $20.00 for 1st and $10.00 for 2nd. Those who are members of more than one club, must not change their representation from the club that is originally listed on their nomination.
INS boxes are compulsory for the Pro Tourers. No flammables allowed in at the meetings, (Shellite etc.) and
running motors in liquids will not be allowed at the race meetings. There will be stringent scrutineering of 540 motors, to make sure that the cams have not been modified.
