The first picture was the SP chassis, the evo wc had a battery tray too but it still had that brace in the front so your point is still valid. it was very common for most team/some non team drivers to cut that brace which basically gave you something more similar to the mtx4/nt1/evo2. Very interesting to see them all side by side when each manufacturer releases "revolutionary changes".. The only one I see with any creativity here is the Serpent but their chassis was unique on the 720 as well as the 733 and I have no real idea if that is good or not although I think every one of the top cars is about the same as the others. Some do have a bigger 'sweet spot' for setup though, others can be drastically changed with only a small caster adjustment.
