I think what you are talking about is anti squat/dive. This setting does effect the on/off power grip at each end of the chassis but my exp with castor didn't reproduce this effect. I may be wrong though as I have never found improvement to lap times when moving away from 4 degrees total castor so I have always gone back to that.
