If it’s a digital servo it should work, which I believe the 9650 is. It’s not really about the servo specs, but rather how the electronics process the signal if I understand correctly.

It will be fairly obvious if not, at least it was when I tried it on an analog servo, the servo will probably buzz/be jittery/won’t respond correctly. I think there is chance of damage if you try it for too long.
