I have seen a few conversion chassis that will allow you to run NTC3 suspension and use electric drive train. One company that I know of is Xtreme Racing. Here is a link to their TC3 product page (

The problem with any conversion type chassis/car is that is usually costs more than buying a RTR kit. However having owned a few conversion cars myself in the past, I liked driving something that was unique.
