Beta, that sounds a bit hot, are you running the heatsink on the esc? Did you use the epoxy or the dbl.-sided tape to secure it? I haven't run mod yet but I have taken temps off the ESC after 5min. stock races with a putnam monster and here's what I got using no heatsink and the stock plate.
