My poor Reedy

Well truly one of the best running and most reliable motors I have had. Sadly while doing a complete tear down preparing for next season, I noticed that the putty in the crank moves a bit and is really soft. I'm thinking I caught it before it actually came out. So I guess the real question is... I got this motor when they first became available. Other then the putty it runs great, but would like to know if this is something I can send it back for?

It has about 5 gallons on it.
