Suradaj, the TB02 comes with a plastic spur gear adapter, you can also use the aluminum version from the EVO3. So Yes you can use any spur. The only small draw back is that the motor mount only allows for preset motor and gearing. IE the motor doesn't have infinate adjustability. the mounting screws go through holes not a slot.
DZ. I almost made a mistake when I built my TB02. make sure that the pin in the driveline in in the correct hole for the spur gear. It is pretty sloppy if it is in the wrong hole.
