The vast majority of nitro racing is 1/8 scale. And while there are cars near that $300 price point, STAY AWAY!

You already have a decent radio, correct? Do you have a spare receiver? (Or maybe plan to swap them back and forth?) If so, here is what you will need:

$329.99 for the Hot Bodies D8T is as cheap as it gets. You can spend $700 on a Losi... but lets stick to the low end.

Servos: Figure $120 x 2. If you go cheap on this, you'll spend more in the long run. Hitec 7955, or equivilant.

Engine: Plan on spending $150-300.

Pipe: $55 and up.

Starter Box: $70+

Batteries, chargers, etc add another $100.

That's IF you have a radio.

You can go buy the Losi 8ight-T 2.0 RTR for $799, it includes a starter box and a great radio. Still need a better steering servo though, so add $120...
Brad "DOMIT" Smith - I'm not fast, but at least I wreck a lot.
Unsponsored, but I use/recommend: XRay XB9, Alpha A852, Dynamite 053, Airtronics M11, Hitec 5955TG & 7955TG, ABEC 35 clutch and chassis bearings, PTRCRacing shock and diff fluids, Ready Rollers ceramic engine bearings. ** Team Terribles Region 9 coordinator. ** JOIN TEAM TERRIBLES!
