On the ECS/Heatshrink issue, I've been using heat shrink as a safety net since the Paved Nats in October with great success. Ralph suggests taking the ECS apart every weekend to clean and re-grease them. This obviously is the best way to maintain them. The ECS assembly goes through a great deal of stress and even with maintaining weekly I have had pins slide out and break. I've found that with the heat shrink the assembly stays together a little better and even if a pin gets loose, it is less likely to break. I'd suggest assembling the ECS per the instructions and use a little heat shrink to help make the unit more durable. Of course the more you take them apart and clean/re-grease them, the better
