It's definitely a good charger, having the same charging circuitry as the Pulsar Competition. Only thing it lacks in the charging department compared to Comp is the timer (which I personally use a lot on the Comp at the races). Everything else that the Comp has (10A discharge, motor run in) is pretty much unnecessary, so I think the Sport is really good value for the money.
Edited to say that $80 seems a steal to me, so I'd RUN to get it
