i did until i geared up (11 teeth from my duo) on a 13.5. i run the sp-lpf and i ran a 4.24 ratio on a 90 ft indoor track. tons or torque, but no revs. i think i was coming off at 165*F or thereabouts.

i ran two v3 motors, a duo, and a novak. all provided identical lap times at the NEGS race this past weekend. in the end, i liked the sp because it ran cooler. on larger tracks, it may have issues if you're not using an esc that revs late ... but so far, so good.
