If you do an external RX pack, you'd have to check the wiring layout on that... it may be as simple as keeping the on/off switch "off" on the ESC.

Thanks. I don't have an external rx pack since I am all electric. I do know that it isn't the on/off switch on the esc though since it did the same with both of my esc's, the sidewinder and the mmp. I just hooked the mmp back up to the new (old hitec) servo and everything works fine. I also rebinded one of the other receivers (the sr300) and it seems to be fine. The problem definitely seems to have something to do with the servo. So, if ko-propo says they will check it out for a reasonable amount I'll send it in. If they don't then I'll just toss it in the trash (luckily I "only" paid $80 for it) and call it a day.
