The servo went into a different truck with better ESC, & same model receiver & it was flawless.

Very good suggestion so I just experimented a little to see what would happen. Both the receiver and the servo specs say that they can handle high voltage so I upped the voltage on the bec. I tried 6.5 and 7.0 volts. I have the receiver, esc, and servo setting here on the carpet hooked up to a fully charged battery. After about two seconds of turning the steering back and forth I lose control of everything and I have to turn it off and back on again to get it working.
