The other possible culprit may be in the Spektrum.
The servo lagging is usually an under volt/amp problem.
Spektrum receivers like constant voltage.
If you have a high draw servo (the Ko 2367 isn't slow or weak), & a weak BEC (Castle) the Spektrum receiver drops.
Do you have a different brand ESC to try or an external receiver pack.
Spektrum receivers may be sensitive to something going on with this, a friends Spektrum receiver has also died shortly after a similar setup.
I don't know the layout on the boards of Spektrum receivers for any internal regulation or limiters...
Thanks. I am running the esc at 6 volts on the BEC plus I tried using a capacitor, still did not work. I am even running two other cars with ko-propo servos with mmp's and spektrum receivers and they work fine.
I'm really thinking that I purchased a bad servo. I've sent an e-mail to ko-propo asking them what I need to do to get it serviced / replaced. If it's cost eficient I'll have them to service it. If not I'll just chalk it up as a lesson learned.
As far as castle, I originally thought that the problem was the mmp and I have a replacement coming to me from Castle. However, after buying a new sidewinder and still having the same problem I need to give them a call and have them to cancel the warranty request.
So far it seems like saving money on a used servo has really cost me a good bit of money. Two receivers, purchasing a capacitor hoping that would fix it (only $6), and purchasing another esc since I was thinking that was the problem. I probably should learn from this and quit buying used electronics but I probably won't.
