What are you on about!! In the english language there is no sound for the Ü and therefore Nürnberg is called Nuremberg, just like München is called Munich and Köln (because there is no Ö in english) is called Cologne. Of course there are translations of town names into different languages - you'd have a hard time pronouncing Moscow (which for your information is москва ) if it was spelt with the Russian character set.


I don't see what your you are tying to achieve in this pointless discussion, but get your facts right before telling me that I have spelt something wrong!!!!

I'll give you another hint: try the website "dict.leo.org" that's a german-english/english-german online dictionary. Type in all the German town names you want - to your heart's content - it'll tell you how they are written in English.
