Last Saturday at a race, I was actually faster over a 5-minute main with my Mamba Max 4600 Slash than I was with my XXX-TCR 10.5. On a VERY tight track. Once you get where you're not traction rolling a slash, they're pretty consistent. The SC10, I think, WILL be faster with a good driver. But the Slash really surprised me this last weekend. Almost beat the local short course hotshot SC10 guy with a Slash made of metal, with lights, and a stock steering servo.
That being said, I'm going to buy an SC10 and a 17.5 system for spec class racing around here. My Slash is too heavy to even consider working in that situation. I'm keeping my Slash though, for playing with at home when I feel like pulling wheelies in the street.
