Default what about the rest of it?

While this post is very informative, the information provided can be easily figured out by reading descriptions at the manufacturer's web sites and making a couple of assumptions. Nice to see the different motors described though.

What I think would be really helpful is answering all of the questions that arise mixing technologies. I think I know what's going on but I've never seen it explained in detail. Like if you still have AM or FM instead of a digital TX/RX what things you should know before deciding if that new steering servo you have your eye on should be purchased digital or if you should be considering some of the better analog ones that would perform the same - that is besides the off center torque immediately available. What the tradeoffs are for a digital servo on an analog channel and what to expect will change from the servo specifications. Also if there is anything that should never be mixed or would be a total waste of money becuase it would not be any better in an analog system but use the battery faster. Things like that.

I guess for that matter someone may also wonder what would happen when you choose one analog servo for use in a otherwise digital system. I don't know why you would do that but maybe there is a reason. Like maybe you have trouble with burning up throttle servos and you want to try an analog one? I don't know. I see that one come up here alot so maybe someone might want to try that.

Just trying to continue a good discussion with some stupid questions. If you are bothering to compare digital and analog you probably should know the answers to the rest of these questions too.
