Hi
I know this was a grey area, and it has been addressed, I just hadnt updated the website. The extra entry fee for Pro Buggy if in fact you entered as sport or junior but got within the Top Ten would be subtracted from your Pro Buggy prizemoney payout, to make it fair for the other pro drivers that had paid the full amount and also to protect the drivers that the sport and junior classes were devised for, my apologies for not addressing it earlier. The website has been updated and the exact wording is below
(Conditions Apply - A minimum of 10 entries required for the class to run, The buggy classes are not seperated into different heats / races, the class finishing positions for each are based on outright finishing position. If a Sport Buggy driver finishes within the TOP TEN outright that driver will then be paid the Outright Pro Buggy position accordingly and the additional Pro Buggy race fee of $50.00 wil be deducted from that drivers prizemoney payout. The Sport Buggy prize payout will then revert to next Sport or Junior Class driver outside the TOP Ten)
You would note also from the prize payouts that you need to get up to 5th outright to match the prizemoney for first in the sport or junior class. From past events just getting into the Top Ten is tough job.
There are also the other special sections that are only for pro buggy, being the holeshot hero and FTD, and possibly a couple of other special sections yet to be announced.
Likewise the Junior class rules have been updated to reflect this also.
(Conditions apply - drivers must be unders 15 years old and a minimum of 10 entries required for the class to run. Note the buggy classes are not seperated into different heats / races, the class finishing positions for each are based on outright finishing position. If a Junior Buggy driver finishes within the TOP TEN outright that driver will then be paid the Outright Pro Buggy position accordingly and the additional Pro Buggy race fee of $50.00 wil be deducted from that drivers prizemoney payout. The Junior Buggy prize payout will then revert to next Junior Class driver outside the TOP Ten) )
I hope this suitably answers your queries, and dont hesiate to contact me if you need anything else.
Cheers
Tony
