I got it from a guy who bought the kit and then decided he didn't want it. It was mostly assembled already, I just had to finish the shocks and some other minor things.

It's got a Novak Havoc sport 8.5T (19t pinion, pulls wheelies when it has traction) and what just arrived today, a Jconcepts Over-tray. I would highly recommend this thing to all of you. Looks like it's going to do a great job of keeping the dirt away from the internals.

I am having a bit of trouble with the slipper clutch though. When I got it the guy who built it said it should be pretty close, but I think that was for a 27t brushed motor. With my motor it was slipping like mad. I ended up tightening it so much that the spring is almost compressed to the point of each coil touching the next. I used the method of holding the rear wheels and blipping the throttle until it would lift the front wheels a bit. Is there a better way to do it? I'm afraid I have it too tight.

Anyway, onto a few pics:

(Excuse the slightly messy wiring)

^ You can see here I had to dremel the battery hold-down a little bit in order to fit the esc there, but I feel that it's in a good place. It wouldn't fit under the over-tray when it was on the side, and this way there's a more even side-side weight distribution IMO (The rx weighs nothing).

Oh, and ps: Don't worry, only the rx is velcroed down. That's because I use it in my touring car too. The esc is firmly planted.
decent my sc10 is the same way

and for the 8.5 on DIRT it will need to be a bit looser then you have it..
i go by the book for 1/8 nitro dirt tracks that are pretty loose.
3 turns in from flush (the screw is just pocking through the locking nut)
