So basically what this means is if your using an ESC that does not use more than 6.0v to power the receiver, then you are good to go.
If you plan to run a receiver pack, then make sure the voltage of the pack does not exceed 6.0v, else you could fry your receiver.
If you plan to run a receiver pack that has a voltage higher than 6.0v, then you will need a regulator.
For 1:12 scale I plan to try a 2S 350mah 7.4v LiPO with the receiver. I know it's risky, but I guess I'll find out soon if I fry the receiver or not.
