You need a gearbox when using a 3 ports pull starter engine, with long straight and cars above 3kg500!!

.... yea but, if your car ran a 2 speed transmission with your big engine, I bet you'd crush all the single speed cars on the track.
The standard Black Hawk transmission gearing are:
16/20 or 17/21 Clutch bell gears
48/44 Spur gears
There's also several other combos to dial in to different track sizes and surface conditions that us "GT" racers can use to get max track performance.
Rally Game = 1speed
GT Class = 2 speeds
I expect we will see some really insane fast GT cars at the Ipanema Sports 2010 GT World Championships.
