anyway gonna take some photos of the piston now. Is it ok to put singer oil (the sewing machine oil) on the parts while the engine is being torn down and cleaned? As it is heaps cheaper than after run. I had to leave the engine in bits over night, so i put a thin layer of the singer oil on the piston/rod etc to protect it from the air and all that. Obviously i will clean it off with fuel before i rebuild.
