Shelf Life of Foams
I bought a couple of used cars off craigslist. The 1/10 scale (TC4) was run once and the 1/18 (M18) was never run. Both car had several sets of foam tires. I have run the cars in street. The tires seems to be losing foam at a high rate and really do not have any traction. So the question is, do the foam tires have a usable shelf life or is this normal for this type of tire? The tires are probably 4 or 5 years old. I have no idea how they were stored or the firmness of the tires.
The question is really about shelf life of the tires and if high wear rates are normal for asphalt.
