I found out what my problem was....too much weight over the front. A friend set it at 53% rear, 47% front and now it grips up really well and responds to setup changes as it should. I am going to experiment with different weight bias front to rear to see how this affects the car.
All this time, something so simple, I feel like an idiot :P
