Just checking out some raceable RTR's at my LHS, and I notice that some of them come with more than stock motors (i.e. 17t reedy in T4's and B4's). I think the advent or expansion of 'sportsman' racing where you "run what you brung" is workable for newbies to racing. Once there experience increases, they join the regular class/s.

As stated earlier by NJA82, simplifying this aspect of the hobby should certainly be on the horizon, but hey, that's a fair way down the track.

If at a club level, we can make race days easier, and more enjoyable, then I cant see any losing out.
